I get that as mental health professionals we spend years of our time doing voluntary work, investing massive amounts of money into creating this incredible career……but training courses don’t teach us how to make it financially viable. In fact, we are told:

“You don’t become a counsellor to make money”

“You’re here to help people, don’t be selfish”

“People can’t afford therapy”

It is both possible to have a brilliant and satisfying career as Therapist AND make a good living from it. We’re in the business of transforming lives and we need to have greater belief in ourselves and the value of our services. This is not a hobby!
